Nursery
The first years of a child’s learning are the building blocks upon which a love of learning is built. They should be encouraged to be creative and curious, kind and bold. Their imagination should soar, their worlds be filled with awe and wonder and friendships forged and all within a warm nurturing environment.
Our Early Years staff are passionate and dedicated and our classrooms are environments that both nurture and empower our youngest learners. As we grow, we will endeavour to ensure our values and visions are at the heart of the decisions we make for our pupils and their families.

A Love of Learning from the Start
Our Early Years setting provides an environment that encourages children to explore, ask questions, and follow their curiosity.
Our teaching team is made up of qualified and experienced teachers and early years practitioners who are passionate about early education and committed to providing the very best start for your child. Our knowledgeable and caring staff carefully plan rich, play-based experiences that both challenge and support each child at their own pace.
Learning is built around what inspires and excites each child, happening naturally through play, curiosity, and exploration. Whether it’s discovering nature, diving into stories, creating art, making music or exploring textures and sounds, every experience helps children make sense of their world. Through playful activities, we nurture early communication, social and personal skills, literacy and maths — from sharing stories and rhymes and mark-making, to counting, sorting, and problem-solving — building strong foundations for a lifelong love of learning.
Our fantastic setting allows learning to take place both in our brand-new classrooms and in our wonderful outdoor space. Wherever their learning takes them, we ensure the very best opportunities as your child begins their exciting journey with us at Greywood.
Our Nursery Rooms
Our ‘Buds’ room is for children aged 2–3 years.
‘Saplings’ is for children aged 3–4 years. Children will usually move to the Saplings in the term following their third birthday, ensuring a smooth and supportive transition.
